If you qualify and successfully complete the course, the citation may be dismissed and will not appear on your driving record.

  • You were charged with speeding 25 mph or more over the posted speed limit
  • The offense occurred in a construction zone while workers were present
  • You hold a Commercial Driver License (CDL)
  • Received a citation for No Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance
  • Any other non-moving violations

You will have 90 days to:

  1. Complete the approved driving safety course(DSC)
  2. Obtain a certified copy of your driving record from the Texas Department of Public Safety
  3. Submit a notarized affidavit as required by the court
  4. Submit ALL required documents to the court for review

Once all required documents are received and approved, the citation will be dismissed.

  • Have a valid Texas driver’s license
    (unless you are active military, or the spouse or dependent of active military)
  • Provide valid proof of motor vehicle insurance or financial responsibility
  • Have not completed a driving safety course within the past 12 months
  • Pay the required $144 court fee at the time of request

Your request must be submitted on or before your initial court appearance date.
