In accordance with City Ordinance, an alarm permit is required for any alarm system which may cause a response by emergency services, including professionally monitored systems, user-monitored systems and unmonitored systems with an on-site siren.

An alarm user may be fined up to $200 for operating an alarm system without a permit.

Residential Permits are offered at no cost and must be filed when installed, upgraded

Commercial Permits are $30 annually and are valid per calendar year (January 1st – December 31st)
